I’m Theophilus Eriata, a software engineer who loves building systems that help people. My work lives at the intersection of graphics, robotics, and AI/ML, but the thread running through everything I do is simple: I’m drawn to problems where precision matters and where thoughtful engineering can make someone’s life easier, safer, or more connected.

I’ve always been curious about how things work, but even more curious about how people grow. That’s why mentoring students through FIRST Robotics, teaching at church, and helping build technical communities at the University of Calgary have become such meaningful parts of my life. I enjoy seeing people discover what they’re capable of, and I try to create environments where that discovery feels supported and encouraged.

Service has shaped me just as much as engineering. Volunteering with Alberta Health Services and the Mustard Seed taught me how powerful simple presence can be: listening, guiding, helping someone navigate a difficult moment. Those experiences grounded me and strengthened my desire to work in fields where technical skill and human care meet.

Faith gives me direction. Engineering gives me tools. Community gives me purpose. Together, they’ve shaped how I approach every project and every person, with patience, curiosity, and a commitment to building things that genuinely help.
